The research subject of this article – P.A. Serebryakov’s (1909–1977) pedagogical mastery. He was one of the greatest figures of 20th century, an outstanding Russian pianist and artist, piano professor, rector of the Leningrad State Conservatory. Не had been taught at the conservatory for forty-seven years, educating the young generation of musicians. More than a hundred concert performers came out of his piano class, including M. Volchok, B. Guslitser, L. Zaichik, A. Kurtev, I. Lazko, E. Murina, G. Fedorova and other artists, whose names are known in our country and abroad. The role of each of them is extremely significant P.A.Serebryakov did not write a generalizing literary work, as many of his predecessors and contemporaries did. Therefore, the problem of amazement of his pedagogical heritage are unexplored nowadays. Thanks to the archival materials, documents, articles and reviews, memoirs, oral and written testimony of Serebryakov's students, audio, and video materials, which have survived to date, it is possible to restore a holistic systemic understanding of the pedagogical method of this bright creative personality. The purpose of this work is to reveal the features of P.A. Serebryakov, to acquaint a wide audience with the main aspects of P.A. Serebryakov.
