Musicology Annotation << Back Mozartiana of the Marble Palace: on the History of Family Listening and Performing Traditions (1830–1890s) Moiseev Grigory A. The purpose of the research is to analyze the reception of Mozart’s music in the second half of the XIX century by members of the Romanov family. The relevance and scientific novelty are determined by the fact that for the first time on the basis of archival documents (State Archive of the Russian Federation, Cabinet of Manuscripts of the Russian Institute of Art History, Russian State Historical Archives, Manuscript Division of National Library of Russia), the provenance of his compositions in different genres in the palace musical culture is considered. During several decades Mozart’s compositions formed the basis of regular private musical assemblies on the Marble Palace – the residence of the Konstantinovichi branch of the House of Romanov. The article uses complex source and musicological approaches. For the first time the appendix published Alexander Kireev’s essay on Mozart’s Requiem based on Alexander Ulybyshev’s work.
