Minimalism goes either to the «post-classical» phase («postminimalism») in the middle 70th of the XX century. In Britain postminimalism was presented into systems music. The article considers the context of the emergence of this trend and analyses the compositions of its main representatives (the opuses by M. Parsons, D. Smith, C. Hobbs, B. Dennis, H. Scampton, H. Shrapnel, M. Nyman). The article discusses the features of the pattern, ways to work with pattern, general principles of constructing a form on the example of music, created by these authors. The article concludes that the specificity of systems music is determined by the combination of the principles of minimalism, combinatorics and indeterminate composition.
