Musicology Annotation << Back Music Intertext: On the Problem of Connotations I.S. Stogniy The article deals with issues related to different types of music intertextual interactions that occur in a variety of borrowing: quotations, allusions, stylistic relationships between texts. Interaction of some stylistic elements into other elements, infiltration of "foreign" language intonation enriches each specific work from the inside, creating a wide semantic field, deep subtext, connotations. In contrast denotata that define typical, connotations create additional value and have the property of latency (hidden meaning). Important among formation connotations are intertextual interaction elements of musical texts. Poetics of intertextuality is discussed on the example of these «multi-lingual» composers like R. Strauss, P. Hindemit, V. Ryabov. All of them are applied differently by «foreign word» in his writings, which determined the difference between the modes. Using the mechanisms of «foreign words» in the twentieth century was not only a method of composition, but also an instrument of cognition «polyphonic» of reality.
