Musicology Annotation << Back Polyeleos in the Old-Russian Chant Tradition from the 15th to the Middle of the 17th Century Irina V. Starikova The article deals with the Polyeleos, which is one of the psalmic cycles of the Vigil. The history of the recording of the Polyeleos in chant books and typicons is examined, leading to the detection of two notated versions of psalmic cycles in the chant books of the beginning of the 16th to the mid-17th century.
