Musicology Annotation << Back Music-Rhetorical Figures in Old Russian Chants Fedorovskaya N.A. Old Russian music-rhetorical figures have a stable graphic face allowing distinguishing them from each other and extracting them from a tune as well as focusing one’s attention on the words of poetical text. Figures are closely related with a textual rhetoric, play a significant role in the song forming and have an original graphics and unusual sounding. In the work, some definition and criteria of extraction from a musical text are suggested, that is a stage in the development of universal approach to the music-rhetorical figures investigations.
