Musicology Annotation << Back Instrumental Timbre as an Element of Exxpression in Art Viskova I.V. The instrumental timbre presents one of the general parties of music image of epoch. The sound of the musical instrument is formed within the framework of the certain musical style. The article is concerned with the timbre expression as the significant feature which forms a piece of music. Also the questions of influence of historical stylistic processes on the tonal characteristic of musical instrument is touched upon, in particular wood-wind group.
