Musicology Annotation << Back Ricercar Composition in the 17th Century against the Background of Cultural and Artistic Processes of Baroque Shinkaryova M.I. The paper is concerned with ricercar as one of the most representative genres of Baroque epoch. The author analyses the facts and reasons which brought along free counterpoint in music which is brightly exposed by ricercar and shows how is the semiology of the New Time is externalized in the polyphonic composition.
