Boulatova O.G.
In the paper opinions of two contemporaries, Arnold Schonberg and Ferruccio Busoni on principles of a musical composition of the beginning of the 20th century are revealed. The second of Schonberg’s Three Piano Pieces ор. 11 became a point of crossing of these opinions. On purpose to adapt radical, in his view, piece, Busoni had made its concert transcription. Correspondence of two composers concerning new edition of the piece reveals a whole number of aesthetic and composite-technical questions, which characterize musical creativity of the beginning of the 20th century in whole.
