Musicology Annotation << Back The Composition Methods in “the Melodic Chant” of The Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra (18th – 19th Centuries) Genchenkova M.V. The author represents scientific research of the works created by the chant masters of Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra. This monastery is one of the greatest centers of the religious culture during some centuries. The author analyzes the based composition principles, which define the stylistics of local chants in 18th – 19th centuries.
