«Inok mnogestva» : the Sticheron Dedicated to Saint Anthony the Great within the Context of Old-Russian Hymnography |

This article is about the Old-Russian sticherа «Inok mnogestva», which is composed for the service dedicated to St. Anthony the Great, the founder of monasticism. The stichera was one of the most well-known and often performed church hymns in honour of saints in Medieval Russia. The appendix contains music and words of the hymn and the author’s transcription from Old-Russian neumes to the modern notation, based on one of the most complete musical manuscripts of the Medieval Russia.
