Musicology Annotation << Back On the Problem of Formbuilding Meaning of Instrumentation. Timbre-Tectonical Principles of Musical Form S.V. Ponomarev The paper is concerned with the problem of correlation between timbre and form, in first with the formbuilding meaning of timbre and instrumentation. The timbretectonical system of musical form is based on fundamental properties of musical form, and also on basic principles of timbrebuilding. We put five universal timbretectonical principles of musical form. We investigate the structure of form, the functional relation of its parts, the shaping process, the mean proporties and realization of form with its group, type and kind. The author mentions the systematization of classical forms and analyzes music of barocco, classicism and romanticism. Key words: timbre, form, formbuilding, timbre-tectonics, systematics.
