Musicology Annotation << Back Revazova Sima Gambolovna: musician, accordion player, teacher Batagova Tatiana This article is devoted to the study of the work of Ossetian harmonist, teacher, songwriter and instrumental compositions by Sima Gambolovna Revazova (1929–2017). The musician's art is comprehended in the context of the formation of the national musical and instrumental performing arts and the formation of a pedagogical school. The author considered the contribution of the harmonist to the development of performance on Caucasian harmonica, to the formation of methods for teaching the game on a national instrument, to the process of preserving and fi xing folk melodies in musical, audio and video recordings. The merits of S.G. Revazova as the author of plays, ensembles, songs, in popularizing the art of playing the harmonica. Various concert activities of S. Revazova are presented: as a soloist-harmonist of the Orchestra of Folk Instruments of the Radio Committee of the RSO-A, organizer and participant of instrumental ensembles (duet, trio, quartet, quintet), accompanist in duets with singers. Particular attention is paid to the pedagogical activity of S.G. Revazova, who has brought up dozens of excellent musicians over half a century of work in republican educational institutions (North Ossetian Music and Pedagogical College and College of Culture). Many of the harmonist's students went on to pursue higher education and are now successfully making their mark in the performance and pedagogical spheres of national musical culture.
