Musical Sound Recording
in the Choral Works of V. Pyankov:
Observation and Analysis |

This article is devoted to the work of the modern choral composer Valery Pyankov (b. 1940). The author of the work makes an attempt to
consider the complex of sound-visual elements in some works for choir by V. Pyankov.
The subject of the study is the composer's individual opuses containing sound recording techniques. The identifi cation of these features
reveals the specifi cs of V. Pyankov’s creative method, emphasizing the originality and novelty of his choral works, recognized and recognizable
by both performers and listeners.
The article focuses on such sound recording techniques as imitation of human actions, sounds of living and inanimate nature, imitation of the
sound of various musical instruments, as well as the use of bells - a typical national musical touch in choral scores.
The author of the article highlights one of the most important aspects of Pyankov's choral music, which is still in the shadow of musicologists'
attention, which determines the relevance and scientifi c novelty of this study.
