Musicology Annotation << Back Semantics of Musical Instruments in the Context of Cultural Language Dmitrieva Anna A., Kostiuk Ekaterina B. The relevance of the research and its scientific novelty is due to the culturological understanding of the phenomenon of semantics of musical instruments in the text of works of music and fine arts. The authors consider the features of musical instruments as signs, signs, symbols that have a certain connotation in the artistic text of the work, as well as in the language of culture of a particular era. Musical instruments that have developed as a system determine not only the expressiveness of the sound of music, but also become a certain sign that has not only artistic and aesthetic, but also cultural significance. The hypothesis of the study is to substantiate the semantics of musical instruments as lexemes of the language of culture and art. The object of the study was musical instruments in the text of works of artistic culture. The subject of the study is the specificity of the semantic interpretation of musical instruments in the context of the language of culture. The purpose of the study is to analyze the features of semantic interpretation of musical instruments in painting and musical culture. Investigating the stated problems, the authors come to the conclusion that the semantics of musical instruments in the language of culture and art can be considered as a system having several levels: imitative, interpretive, culturogenic.
