Ten Concert Studies for Flute by V. Tsybin |
Stachinskaya Irina V.
In the present article, V. Tsybin’s Ten Concert Etudes served as the basis for the analysis of the expressive features of the flute. The basis for such an analysis is usually the genres that are most typical for demonstrating its concert capabilities, primarily such as the concerto, sonata, and, in particular, the concert etude. In recent years, the figurative and expressive possibilities of the flute have significantly expanded and transformed, on the one hand, due to the development of performance technology and the search for new expressive methods of sound production in connection with the emergence of a new repertoire, on the other hand, due to the growing trend towards authentic performance and instrumentation. Therefore, the identification of the most appropriate to the nature of the instrument, the figurative-meaningful spheres of music, as well as the establishment of their influence on the formation of the stylistic features of the flute repertoire at various stages of its evolution, was one of the important tasks of this article.
