Musicology Annotation << Back The Poem «Kama bridge» by P.A. Kulichkin: on the Question of the Interpretation of the Genre Makina Anna V. The poem «Kama bridge» for choir and orchestra (2020) by Pyotr Alexandrovich Kulichkin based on poems by Vladimir Ilyich Radkevich is one of the few examples of this genre in the works of composers of the Perm organization of the Union of Composers of Russia. This composition is a personal creative and research project of the young composer, an indicator of his work with the «nature» of choral sound. In the poem, the interaction of the choir and orchestra is carried out «on the principle» of a concert for an instrument with an orchestra, where the choir becomes the «soloist». The purpose of the article is to reveal the features of the interpretation of the genre of the choral poem by P.A. Kulichkin. The tasks of the work include considering the tonal-harmonic and rhythmic language of the cycle, studying the interaction of text and music in transmitting an artistic image that makes sense of the history of Prikamye and the most important issues of human life, as well as identifying methods of working with a choral presentation. The analysis undertaken shows the presence in the poem of musical and stylistic parallels with the time of events reflected in the poetic beginning of the work. When using a classical type of writing choir (according to the classification of P.P. Levando [1, 28]), remaining within the framework of tonality, the composer resorts to various means of expanding harmony, creating a large-scale cycle as a special «musical» panorama of the cultural life of the Perm region.
