Finding the whole by its part": the problem of attribution of the four-voice partes Liturgy of the second half of the XVIIth century |
Gerasimova Irina V.
The article raises the problem of attribution of partes concerts and cycles, written in Russian manuscripts as anonymous. Scholar methods of attribution are discussed. The three Liturgies (Sluzhba Bozhiya) were attributed to Jan Kalenda and Nikolay Dileckiy on basis of written separately numbers out of their cycles. Author of four-voices Liturgy was defined on number «Augmented Litany», written with mark «Kalendina» after another anonymous Liturgy. Four-voices Liturgy by Dileckiy was found on alternative number «Dostoyno iest», written in other known attributed Liturgy by Dileckiy. The third Liturgy was attributed to Dileckiy, as the note fragments from his theoretical treatise «Musical grammar» were used in the cycle.
Keywords: partes style, problem of attribution, Liturgy (Sluzhba Bozhiya), Nikolay Dyletskiy, Jan Kalenda, composers of Baroque.
