Musicology Annotation << Back The Disklavier as a piano performance form of the 21st century Malykhina Irina V. The article considers the hybrid piano Disklavier, in which the ideas of the 19th century mechanical recording and reproducing devices were revived by means of the built-in modern equipment. Due to the emergence of new variants of using a piano in the field of musical art, Disklavier almost immediately after the first review presentations attracted the attention of foreign concert performers, scientific organizations and educational institutions, and then Russian teachers and researchers. Thanks to the organic integration of many complex electronic components into an acoustic piano, the instrument, without losing characteristics in the field of timbre and sound, has a number of digital functions: recording and playback in the format of "live" sound, PianoSmart, computer synchronization, remote connection via the Internet, playing in headphones, tone generator, DisklavierRadio and DisklavierTV. In the process of reviewing the resources of the music instrument, the author of the research presents possible options and real examples of using Disklavier both in Russia (in the music education system) and abroad (in research works, in the field of distance learning in the piano class, in concerts of classical and pop music performers).
