Musicology Annotation << Back 200 years of publication of the collection of Kirsha Danilov with notes Frolov Sergey V. In the past 2018 celebrated 200 years of the 2nd edition of the famous manuscript collection of Russian folklore "Ancient Russian poems collected Kirsch Danilov". The epochal significance of this publication lies in the fact that it was published as much as possible at the time the number of texts – 61 out of 71 as part of the original manuscript. This publication for the first time was accompanied by a scientific commentary that gave readers a sufficiently reasoned interpretation of its materials and opened new pages of Russian folklore. Here again for the first time were published musical records of the tunes accompanying each of the texts of the Collection. During the following decades of the XIX century, this edition was the only full-fledged reproduction of the materials of the Collection and served as an important factor in the development of Russian literature and music. However, musicology did not take into account that the 2nd edition of Kirsha Danilov was in the hands of The great Russian composer M.I. Glinka during his studies at the Noble boarding school. Since some of the songs of the Collection, as we know, show similarities with the chant of the Russian song Kamarinskaya, and in the immediate vicinity of one of the most striking such samples is a song that begins with the words "because of the sea, the sea of blue" and has some similarity of his tune with the famous Glinka song "because of the mountains, the mountains of high mountains", the revealed analogy with the songs that underlie his orchestral fantasy "Kamarisna", allows to expand the idea of the history of the creation of this brilliant work.
