Musicology Annotation << Back The archive of Leningrad association for contemporary music as historiographical phenomenon Kovnatskaya Ludmila G. Voluntary musicians society consisting of composers, musicologists, critics, teachers and musicians was known as Leningrad association for contemporary music. It played important role in the cultural history of the city and the country in the 1920s. This association united many musicians who become prominently famous figures in the later years. Nevertheless, until recently musicologists did not have historical documents that would help reconstruct association's activities. At the moment these documents have been found, deciphered, recovered and put into chronological order. Only after that it became possible to seriously consider the notion of LACM archives.
