Musicology Annotation << Back «Concerts A. Siloti»: composition features of the programs Elena G. Maltseva Alexander Ilyich Siloti (1863–1945) – the famous musician: pianist and conductor, teacher, actor-educator, organizer of the concert life, musical-public fi gure. Enterprise «Concerts A. Siloti» was one of the leading concerts in Russia the fi rst two decades of the twentieth century and had a signifi cant infl uence on the development of musical culture of Russia. The aim of the concerts was to educate the general public. For this purpose, defi nes different types of concerts, the content interesting and artistic and meaningful programs, invited well-known performers – soloists and conductors. In the article presented the basic principles of creation of the programs of the concert organization of A.I. Siloti – a genre and style variety, the relation to monographic concerts and others – formulated on the basis by reviews his contemporaries, Siloti’s letters, the analysis of repertoire policy of an enterprise of Siloti.
