From the History of 19th-century Russian Choral Performing: Gavriil Lomakin and His Role in Formation of Enlarged Choir |

The paper is concerned with one of the most famous 19th century conductors Gavriil Lomakin, one of the greatest masters of choir art in Russia, whose name has been almost forgotten in our days. The article also tells about some tendencies of Russian choir performance and carrying them over to modern situation.
