Musicology Annotation << Back The Correlation Between the Traditions of European Music and Literature: G. F. H&#228;ndel and T. Tasso. To the 300-th Anniversary of H&#228;ndel’s Lyric Opera “Rinaldo” (1711). Margarita S. Cherepennikova The paper is concerned with one of the most interesting and successful works by German composer G. F. Händel’s lyric opera «Rinaldo» (1711), based on Italian poem «Jerusalem Delivered» by T. Tasso. We see the specific features and historical connections between composer’s and poet’s destines and works. We are searching different correlations between Italian, German and English musical and literary traditions shown under the light of baroque, classical and romantic culture stiles.
