Musicology Annotation << Back Another Work of the Team of Theorists Ivan S. Starostin The paper is concerned with little-known «Practical course of harmony». It was created in the first half of the 1930s by a group of authors consisting of: Sposobin, Dubovsky, Evseev, Sokolov. «Practical course» is both a textbook and scientific research. The authors combined in one book the necessary practical guidance and extensive information on the theory and history of harmony. Questions of harmony in the «practical course» are explained in close connection with the problems of musical form. Key words: harmony, pedagogics, learning, musical form, functional system.
