A Contextual Approach to the Work
of Future Concert Performers
on Performance Interpretation |
Stachinsky Vladimir,
Stachinskaya Irina
In the professional activity of a concert performer, the main value is the creation of one's own original interpretation of a musical work. The
performer's interpretation should embody one's own assessment of artistic meanings, taking the awareness of the contextual content of music
far beyond the boundaries of musical lines. As the embodiment of the ideological and figurative content of a work in the real performing process,
it is a key way for the performer to express his attitude to the surrounding reality, going far beyond the content of a specifi c musical text and
encouraging him to share his vision with the audience. A professionally formed value paradigm based on an understanding of the regularity of the
organization of performing means prompts the performer to make the right decision about the intonation of the musical meaning. It is important
that the concert performer's search for his own interpretation of the musical text be based not only on a continuous, but also on a discrete way of
thinking, expressed in the ability to analyze the figurative and semantic fi eld of artistic systems.
Keywords: contextual approach, future concert performers, performance interpretation, figurative-associative space, multidimensionality of
art, paradoxical duality, archetypes of musical speech, artistic image.
