Genre of Concert for Trumpet of the Second Half of the XX Century on the Example of A.N. Pakhmutova’s Trumpet Concertо
Grigoriev Konstantin A.

The relevance of the study and its scientific novelty is characterized by the fact that it attempts to analyze the genre of the trumpet concerto of the second half of the 20th century using the example of A.N. Pakhmutova’s Trumpet Concerto. Throughout the 20th century, the genre of the trumpet concerto was actively developing: its content possibilities were expanding, and the internal structure was changing. Not only performers, but also professional composers began to turn to the creation of a trumpet concerto, which raised its status among other genres, and also brought the concerto to a new artistic and meaningful level. Each composer tried to embody an individual style in the trumpet concerto, while focusing on specifi c trumpet players, such as G.A. Orvid, S.N. Eremin, T.A. Dokshitser and others. The trumpet concerto has become an original genre that combines virtuosity, a variety of themes, impetuous energy and intimacy, the detachment of lyrics, psychological subtlety and depth, immersion in the inner world, the image of the modern world with all its rapid changes. In the article, the author analyzed one of the most famous Soviet trumpet concertos by A.N. Pakhmutova and revealed the features of his musical language. In the composition, the main theme was peace, goodness and prosperity, attraction to the original, to nature, to the Motherland. It sharply embodied a patriotic feeling, expressed by a gravitation towards folk melos (especially in lyrical moments - in slow episodes of development). It was the folk song (Russian lingering) that became in Pakhmutova’s concert a stronghold of peace and goodness, a symbol of the birth of a new life.
Keywords: trumpet, trumpet concerto, A. N. Pakhmutova, trumpet repertoire, Dokshitser.
