Musicology Annotation << Back The Concept of Nonlinearity as a Reflection of the Post-non-Classical Picture of the World in the Works of Genady Ciobanu Sambrish Elena Yu. In the music of recent decades, non-linear structures have become widespread, refracting the ideas of post-non-classical aesthetics. They reflect the positions of synergetics in relation to complex self-organizing systems, which include the Artistic Text as a cultural phenomenon. The principles of nonlinearity are clearly manifested in happenings, performances, "open form", and in opuses with a fixed text they appear in a veiled form as a conceptual idea. If linear structures are based on the laws of rhetoric, logic, dialectics, then non-linear structures violate the “hierarchical picture of the world”, include logical gaps, as if balancing on the verge of formlessness. Features of non-linear structures are considered on the example of three works by Genady Ciobanu (Republic of Moldova) – “Moment bacovian” for piano and symphony orchestra (1998), Violin Concerto “Moments” (2015), “Glance Behind the Curtain/Glance for the Curtain » for string orchestra (2016). They reveal a common emotional-cognitive "code" embodied in different versions: the understanding of "life moments" as fleeting moments and individual events, which is revealed in the deep structure of the texts. Schemes of compositions are given that demonstrate the features of non-linear compositions: 1) the “growth” of the structure, which is not reduced to a simpler scheme in accordance with the levels of the hierarchy; 2) multi-element, loaded with musical events that create a rich information flow; 3) the presence of signifi cant gaps provoked, to the greatest extent, by musical means at the level of phonism; 4) rowing and functional equivalence of the sections of the form; 5) the uniqueness of the structure. Artistic texts do not give a result – it is taken out of the scope of the artistic chronotope. Nonlinear structures look chaotic, but express an important idea about the instability of the world and the simultaneous existence of order and entropy in it. Despite the complexity of their perception, they are consonant with their time and represent the current worldview and new processes taking place in culture.
