Musicology Annotation << Back Theatrical Reflections of I. Stravinsky: "The Fairy’s Kiss" Ballet (to the 140th Anniversary of the Composer) Baeva Alla A. Ballets are the oldest component of the legacy of the 20th century classic I.F. Stravinsky. They reflect the creative aspirations of the composer, his aesthetic views on the nature of musical and theatrical art in general. In this perspective, the article discusses I. Stravinsky’s ballet «The Fairy’s Kiss». The features of the composer’s poetics are analyzed in it; the issues of Stravinsky’s interpretation of the primary source of the plot, musical and dramatic form, as well as the stage interpretation are all touched upon in the article.
