Musicology Annotation << Back Chinese Art Song: Terminology, Periodization, Socio-Cultural Aspect Li Xinyan The article is devoted to problems studying one of central genres Chinese chamber and vocal music of the twentieth century - the art song. Despite the large number of studies devoted to this genre, many issues remain unresolved to this day, primarily terminology, periodization. The author seeks to identify and clarify the main positions in relation to the defi nition of the very concept of "art song". Special attention is paid to period from the end of Cultural Revolution to end of 80s, which must be separated into a separate stage signifi cant for a development genre. This time period refl ects special state of society and musical culture China. The paper substantiates great role socio-cultural aspects of analysis in the study history of the development Chinese chamber vocal music and the genre of art song.
