Musicology Annotation << Back The Music of the Austrian Composer Georg Friedrich Haas is the Art of "Articulating a Man" Krishtalyuk Olga A., Krasnova Vladislava A. The article covers the most typical features of creative concept of Georg Friedrich Haas, one of the most prominent West-European composers of the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. On the example of the biographical context of the composer's life, his main compositions, philosophical refl ections and against the background of the aesthetic ideas of post-modernism, the most important themes of Haas's art are formulated. The author analyzes the technique of his musical language, the genesis of his style and some art-aesthetic ideas. In the conclusion of the article the conclusion is made about the creation by the composer of the individual stylistic direction in the field of avant-garde art at the beginning of the XXI century and about the undoubted creative contribution of Haas in the development of new possibilities of language and genre systems of contemporary academic music.
