Musicology Annotation << Back Verkhneoksky Wedding Ritual: Structure, Musical Content, Local Features Chernobaeva Oksana V. The article is devoted to the problem of establishing a unifi ed typological model of the Verkhneok wedding ritual in the context of historical-geographical, ethnic, ethnographic, musical-stylistic and regional aspects. The analytical material of the Verkhneok wedding is presented in two thematic blocks: a comparative analysis of the structure and musical dramaturgy of the wedding ceremonies of the Oryol, Tula and Kaluga regions and the identifi cation of the general framework of the wedding stages; confirmation of the unified ethnomusicological landscape from the position of the genre composition of wedding songs, rhythmic and pitch organization of the melodies of the studied territory. Special attention is paid to identifying the musical and ethnographic features of the wedding ceremonies under consideration in a regional way.
