Musicology Annotation << Back Transformation of Sacred Music as a Phenomenon in the Aspect of its Symphonization in the Twentieth Century Prokhorov Artem D. The development of wind music as one of the types of musical art is a multi–layered and constant process. In broad terms, its boundaries are difficult to defi ne. Nevertheless, the study of individual phenomena of this process allows us to accurately represent the most general trends in the development of wind music. The symphonization of Russian wind music is one of the most significant turns in its history, which took place in the middle of the last century. In the work of G.I. Salnikov, one of the outstanding representatives of the Russian wind school of composition, this process of symphonizing music for brass orchestra manifested itself most vividly and in a variety of ways.
