Musicology Annotation << Back Mark Andre: the Personality Portrait Yesayan Rachya (Hrachya) R. The relevance of the study and its scientific novelty are determined by the fact that this text is the first publication that aims to build a personal portrait of the composer Mark Andre. The article analyzes the creative approach of the Franco-German composer, his life principles and deduces a relationship between the inner world and artistic manifestation. The research hypothesis consists in the recognition of the creative process as a direct expression of the type of thinking and worldview of the composer. The purpose of the study is to identify the conceptual methods and ethical and aesthetic principles that guide Mark Andre as an author. The article provides a detailed overview of the compositional technique and aesthetic content filling in some of pieces, with the text of the author's comments on which the hypothesis is based. As a result, it is possible to identify several fundamental creative principles. In addition to M. André himself, special attention is paid to the representatives of the ars subtilior school, J. Grisey and H. Lachenmann from the point of view of compositional technique.
