Musicology Annotation << Back Creative path of the composer M.Z. Yarullin in the mirror of letters and memoirs of contemporaries Khasanova Alsu N. The article was written in memory of composer Mirsaid Yarullin, a musician who played an important role in the development of Tatar professional musical culture in the second half of the 20th and beginning of the 21st centuries. Based on the letters stored in the funds of the National Archives of the Republic of Tatarstan, translations from the Tatar language, published interviews of the musician himself and his close friends, the life and work of the younger representative of the famous musical dynasty are described: the years of his studying at the Kazan Musical College and the Kazan Conservatory, working hours in Union of Composers of the Republic and Kazan Conservatory. The narrative reveals the verges of the life and work of many other close to the heart people of M. Yarullin, artists of musical art of Tatarstan: his father Zagidulla Yarullin, the famous brother Farid Yarullin and his daughter Nailya, friends and colleagues, including composers Fasil Akhmetov, Abram Yusfi n, musicologist Halim Bulatov -Teregulov, singer Masgut Imashev. The materials presented for publication serve as a tribute to the musician, from whose death it turned ten years old in 2019. Statements by contemporaries of M. Yarullin allow to understand the composer’s life and creative landmarks deeper, and plunge into the atmosphere of the musical life of Kazan of his time. Keywords: M. Yarullin, Z. Yarullin, F.
