Musicology Annotation << Back On Eug&#232;ne Ysa&#255;e as a Composer: An Experience of Rising the Question Mnatsakanyan G.A. The article covers the problems of study and evaluation of composer's work by outstanding violinist Eugene Ysaÿe in the contemporary research papers. The author of this article considers the violinist’s reflections on his own composer’s experience and the similar experience of his great predecessors, Paganini, Vieuxtemps as a telling argument for critical reappraisal of the sustained notions about the scale and significance of Ysaÿe's works. These thoughts were expounded by Ysaÿe in his essay “Henri Vieuxtemps — my teacher”. It is the text exposing in full measure Isaye’s version of the evolutional processes in European art history. Ysaÿe assigns a strategically important part to composers art of violinists in the invention of new musical languages.
