Musicology Annotation << Back About the Methods of Analysis of Folk Songs Melodic Structure Efanova A.V. The paper deals with the methods of the analysis of folk songs' melodies which have been developing in ethnomusicology since the end of the 19th century. The author gives a brief systematisation of the techniques of melodic analysis which were have already been approved by researchers, and presents the proprietary analytic technique that summarizes the concepts and approaches to the melodic analysis in ethnomusicology, mediaevalism and musicology in general.
